What’s new

The short version: your transcript is now saved in your scene, separately from your markers, and a new Navigate tab lets you drive it. Clear every marker, solo a voice, hand the scene to someone else — your captions are still there.

  • VoxMark for Cinema 4D is now sold and installed through aescripts + aeplugins, with a 14-day trial. See Licensing & support.
  • Click the VoxMark icon in the panel header to see your licence or deactivate it.
  • Saved transcripts. Every transcription or SRT import is saved inside the .c4d, and travels with it.
  • Nothing is simply lost. Transcribing again, importing an SRT or rebuilding first keeps the old transcript in a replaced folder beside your scene.
  • Clearing markers keeps the transcript. Clear All Markers and Save & Clear remove the markers but leave every caption in the Navigate tab, ready to recreate them.
  • Older scenes move across on their own: open one and VoxMark builds its transcript from its markers.

See Where VoxMark keeps things.

  • Transcript only (no markers) transcribes without touching your timeline.
  • Create markers from transcript adds them whenever you want. Run it again and it replaces its own markers; markers you placed yourself are left alone.
  • Rebuild transcript from markers goes the other way.
  • Click to jump, double-click to edit. Fix a word and its marker follows.
  • Forgiving search — typos, missing words and sound-alikes — with Enter to step through matches.
  • Voices: rename, recolour, remove, and assign by hand with any provider.
  • Solo one voice or several; the others’ markers step off the timeline until you un-solo.
  • Set preview range to caption, a transport, and Maximise for the transcript alone.
  • Aa and 1-frame declutter the timeline, reversibly.

See The Navigate tab.

  • More accurate markers. Whisper tends to start captions early around pauses. VoxMark now corrects each caption against the word timings and, for WAV files, against the audio itself.
  • Drag a marker in the Timeline and the transcript follows.
  • Timing tools — nudge, merge, split (a merged caption splits back exactly) and range — work on the transcript and its markers together, as one undo step.
  • Choose your Groq model: Whisper Large v3 Turbo (the default — faster, better timing) or Whisper Large v3 (slightly better word for word).
  • Groq’s developer tier gets its full 100 MB, and AssemblyAI around 2 GB. Too-large files are caught before upload, with the real limits.
  • Speakers: AssemblyAI identifies who is speaking, and you can tell it how many people are talking — an exact number or a range.
  • All 99 Whisper languages, with the common ones first.
  • AssemblyAI now detects the language when it’s left on Auto-detect, rather than assuming English.
  • Export the transcript, not just the markers on the timeline — including transcript-only runs and dragged times.
  • Soloed voices export on their own, one SRT per speaker if you like.

See SRT import & export.
